Annie has the capacity to think in many different registers, seen in the way that she draws compelling connections between her incisive close textual analyses and the larger relations of power that structure social relations within texts. She has worked tirelessly on her project, and I have been repeatedly impressed by her capacities as an intellectual and as an activist. Her work offers such a brilliant contribution to Asian American literary studies that I have suggested that she work towards publishing an article out of the Honors Project when she is done.
