APPLICATION FOR SOPHOMORE HONORS
A. Completed Honors Alpha or A-Section Courses
Subtotal of credit hours earned in Honors courses (16 minimum) .
B. UH Manoa Equivalents: courses numbered 300 or above, which have an explicit college-level course as prerequisite. If taken during the freshman year, the following courses also qualify: Language 202 or above; Math 242 or above; any third-semester science.
Subtotal UHM equivalents .
C. Contract courses -- 5 maximum
Subtotal Contract courses .
Cumulative GPA in Honors courses and UHM equivalents (at least 3.5) .
D. NON-UHM equivalents: Acceptable high school Advanced Placement courses in which you earned a score of 4 or 5, except for the following: art history and studio; Latin Language Virgil; Latin Literature; and math-calculus AB, which must have a score of 5.

The Undergraduate Honors Program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is divided into two parts, Selected Studies, the lower division component for freshmen and sophomores, and Honors, the upper division component for juniors and seniors.
