APPLICATION for SELECTED
STUDIES
Use this form if you are a high school student, a freshman
at UH, a freshman who has transferred to UH, or a sophomore
with general education requirements left to fulfill.
APPLICATION for UPPER-DIVISION
HONORS
Use this form if you are a sophomore who is finished or nearly
finished with general education requirements, if you will
be a junior next semester, or if you are a junior or a senior
with at least three (3) semesters before
you plan to graduate.
PRINTABLE RECOMMENDATION
for SELECTED STUDIES or HONORS
If you are a high school senior applying to Selected Studies
by nomination rather than invitation, you need one letter
of recommendation from a counselor or teacher. If you are
a freshmen or sophomore applying to Selected Studies, you
should have one letter of recommendation from a UH Manoa instructor.
If you are applying to upper-division Honors, you need three
(3) letters of recommendation from faculty at UH Manoa, from
faculty at any other UH system campus, or from faculty at
the institution from which you are transferring.

For Selected Studies students who are using this method of
earning credits eligible for Sophomore Honors.
APPLICATION for
SOPHOMORE HONORS
Selected Studies students applying for this award may submit
the application either in the semester they are completing
their necessary credits or in the next semester, once all
credits are earned.
