
Spring Symposium and Fall Forum
The Spring Symposium and Fall Forum are events sponsored or co-sponsored by the Honors Program to showcase undergraduate research and creative work at UH Manoa. These events are held in the form and style of professional conferences, with oral and poster presentations
, . is held every spring semester as a showcase of undergraduate research and c at UH Manoa. It is open to all UHM undergraduates conducting faculty-supervised academic work, and it mimics the . All Honors students working on their proposals in HON 495 and completing the Senior Honors Projects (HON 496) in Spring, are required to make an oral presentation and to provide a poster exhibit of their work. Presentations and posters are judged by faculty and prizes are awarded.
In the Fall semester we hold a similar but typically somewhat smaller event on campus--the Fall Forum--for students working on their proposals in HON 495 and completing the Senior Honors Projects (HON 496) in Fall. These presentations and posters are also judged by faculty and prizes are awarded.

Fall Forum 2009
Sinclair Library
December5, 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
Students from the Honors Program, Global Environmental Sciences, and other undergraduate students from various programs across campus will be presenting their research or creative work in the form of an oral presentation and/or a poster. There are usually over 30 registered participants, and we expect more this year so it will be an busy and exciting morning of presentations! Lunch and an awards ceremony will follow.
Deadline for participation: Friday, November 20th
Please email honors@hawaii.edu to confirm your participation, preferably by sending us by a completed Participation Form, which must include your Abstract (250 words or less). If you cannot send an attachment, please send the required information in the body of an email, or print the form and return a hard copy to the Honors Program.
When we receive the complete application, we will reserve a place for you and invite your advisor or mentor on your behalf.
Deadline to register guests: Friday, November 27
Friends and family are welcome! Please email honors@hawaii.edu to register any personal guests who will attend. If you would like your guests to join you for lunch there will be a charge of $12, which we must received by December 2. The Honors Program will pay for your mentor to join us for lunch.

The program will be vailable on-line here, hopefully by Tuesday, December 1. Printed versions will be available at the registration desk at 8.00am.
